Woodlands is set back off the main roadof Kerikeri, 200mtrs from the shops and restaurants, on 22 Hectares (70 Acres) of non lovely bush. This setting provides a quiet and relaxed atmosphere and a unique causal environment.
On the 1st of September 2003 we purchased the lease of Woodlands, which prior to our arrival, had been run as a training school for chefs. The school closed in late 2002 and the complex sat unused until we arrived. The complex had never been run as a Motel previously. When we arrived, the property was basically a shell, with no phone or systems in place. With some 40 years of hospitality experience between us, we set out to start up a friendly, informal and affordable complex for all styles of traveler.
